A speaker explains biodiversity while teachers participate in hands on activities at a workshop.

Biodiversity: From the
Santa Monica Mountains
to the World. 

July 22, 23, & 24.

The course will focus on the concept of Biodiversity and how the health and diversity of all life on earth is threatened by human behavior.  The course will explore the introduction of exotic species, the loss of native species; and the effects of pollution, global warming and habitat loss.  The course will also explore human cultural attitudes and perspectives on non-human species.  The course will also address possible solutions to reverse our loss of Biodiversity.
