Santa Monica National Recreation Area

Located near Los Angeles, the park is one of the world's largest examples of a protected Mediterranean ecosystem. Consistent with other Mediterranean ecosystems, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is extremely diverse.

The National Park Service looks forward to working with researchers through the CMRLC, and anticipates exploring novel opportunities and facilitating future studies in Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
