Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Intern collecting data from pitfall traps

Internships: The CMRLC offers students the unique opportunity to gain direct experience with the scientific process through internships in a wide variety of disciplines. Interns help scientists collect and analyze data in fields such as wildlife biology, invasion ecology, botany, restoration ecology and more. The CMRLC also sponsors a wide-variety of volunteer experiences. Volunteers can assist scientists with data collection, participate in citizen science programs, or a range of other activities.

Undergraduate students can gain valuable experience by working with one of many university researchers working at the Santa Monica National Recreation Area, Channel Islands National Park, and Cabrillo National Monument.
