Scuba diver Education is an important component of the California Mediterranean Research Learning Center. Educational opportunities through the CMRLC include workshops, lectures, place-based learning, upper-level curriculum development, and undergraduate and graduate level research opportunities.
Current Projects

Lecture Series for High School Teachers
This series provides local high school teachers with an opportunity to learn about the Mediterranean ecosystem while earning college credit. Lectures will cover topics such as Adaptation to a Mediterranean ecosystem and Threats to our local species.

 

About Our Education Programs

Providing educational opportunities for students, teachers, and the general public is an important component of the Research Learning Center. Educational projects are based upon park-based research and vary in topic and approach.

Examples of the types of educational programs the Research Learning Center supports include but are not limited to: workshops, internships for high school students and undergraduates, teacher training, citizen science, public displays, lectures and public outreach.
